OYD MS Nail Free Sealant is a one-component modified polyether sealant with good positioning ability, which can be widely used in construction, home decoration, hardware installation, joint sealing and so on. It has the advantages of strong initial adhesion, large displacement, resistance to deformation, resistance to aging, and acceptable color paint.
Application:
1. For sealing, bonding and installation of most building materials such as building doors, windows, glass, footings, aluminum, brick, concrete, ceramics, fiberglass and so on;
2. Installation of kitchen or bathroom hardware and hangings and other parts that need to be nailed.
Limitations of Use:
OYD MS nail-free sealant is not suitable for structural bonding and should not be used in the following situations:
1. Not suitable for all surfaces that will ooze grease, plasticizers, and solvents.
2. Not suitable for confined spaces (sealant curing requires moisture in the air) or surfaces in direct contact with food and drinking water.
3. Not suitable for frosted or wet surfaces, or using in long-term water immersion and year-round humid environment.
4. Not suitable for painted surfaces, which may cause bond failure due to cracking or flaking of the paint film.
5. Not suitable for use in fireproof sealing systems or in areas subject to mechanical wear.
6. Don't contact with acidic or alkaline substances (e.g., exterior wall cleaning solution) to avoid discoloration.
7. Don't use on the surface with temperature below 4 ℃ or over 40 ℃.
Storage and expiration date:
It is a non-hazardous product, please store it in a cool and dry place with the temperature below 27℃. And the relative humidity should not exceed 50%.
OYD MS nail-free sealant is valid for 9 months from the date of manufacture. It is recommended to use it as soon as possible.
Method of use:
1. Use tools to clean the excess mortar residue, dirty oil stains, and protective coatings of the substrate surface.
2. According to the instructions, install the liner material or filler, liner bar barrier and tape.
3. Attach glue nozzle to the hose and cut the nozzle according to the size of the glue application gap adjustment.
4. Glue continuously and evenly to avoid air bubbles.
5. After gluing, flatten the sealant with appropriate force, and then trim the sealant surface into a concave shape with a convex tool. And do not use soapy water as an auxiliary material for trimming.
6. If the uncured sealant and the interface of the non-porous material surface contact, it must be removed immediately with methyl ethyl ketone, toluene or xylene solvent before the sealant has cured.
7. When assembling the glass, the sealant polished at the bottom interface needs to be trimmed into a bevel so that water does not flow.
Maintenance:
OYD MS nail-free sealant begins to cure from the surface in contact with moisture in the air, and should be trimmed immediately after gluing.
Generally no maintenance is required. If damage occurs, first find out the cause and then make targeted repairs.
Safety Notes:
This product is non-toxic and will not harm the human body. When handling the aluminum spacer, wear clean and non-shedding gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints or stains. The aluminum spacer bar requires a one-piece bending process using professional bending tools. For non-bending connections, ensure the pins used match the size specifications to prevent issues such as air leakage or molecular sieve leakage.
Warm tips:
During the curing, the temperature difference between day and night on the substrate surface or the thermal expansion and contraction of the substrate will cause changes in the glue joint. This can easily cause the surface of the glue joint to be uneven, i.e., bulging. In order to achieve satisfactory results, the gluing experiment is necessary in line with the requirements of the large-scale construction.
